A microphone, sunglasses, and a familiar voice: footage circulating on October 8 shows JENNIE rehearsing with The Weeknd, giving BLINKs a much happier conversation than another round of speculation about her quieter schedule.

The fan-recorded clip was shared by @myo22ang and picked up by Daebak. Meanwhile, Newsis reports, citing industry sources, that JENNIE is expected to join The Weeknd for “One of the Girls” at his October 8 concert.

The venue is Goyang Stadium, near Seoul. Live Nation lists the Korean shows for October 7 and 8.

That is an exciting development, but rehearsal footage and a reported guest appearance should still be distinguished from a performance that has already happened.

She Had Already Explained Her Need for Space

The reassuring context comes from JENNIE herself.

In her Cosmopolitan cover interview, published August 3, she discussed wanting time for herself after her music commitments and festival run. She imagined travel, beaches, and dinners with friends, while welcoming a future less tightly scheduled years in advance.

“It gives me space to just think.”

Those plans were about making room to live. They were not a dated announcement that she would suspend every professional activity.

A quieter stretch after Fallen Angel therefore fits the priorities she had described. It does not establish why she missed any particular event, nor reveal her health or private circumstances.

Why “One of the Girls” Would Be Special

This potential reunion has a story beyond the surprise guest slot.

“One of the Girls” brought together The Weeknd, JENNIE, and Lily-Rose Depp for the soundtrack of The Idol in 2023. Seeing JENNIE and The Weeknd share it live would give fans a new version of a collaboration they have lived with for three years.
