According to The Korea Herald, industry sources claim that ROSÉ rejected an endorsement offer from a prominent Chinese tea company. The offer was reportedly worth approximately 10 billion won, or $7.2 million.
Some Chinese-language publications have identified the company as CHAGEE, also known as Bawang Chaji, a rapidly expanding premium tea chain. However, CHAGEE is not named in The Korea Herald’s original report, and neither ROSÉ nor the company has publicly confirmed the proposed contract.
Therefore, the offer, its reported value, and ROSÉ’s reason for declining it must remain clearly attributed to unnamed industry sources.
The second reported decision reveals something even more intriguing than the endorsement fee.
Industry sources claim that ROSÉ and an unnamed, well-known Champagne house discussed a collaboration for approximately one year. Plans reportedly included a special-edition bottle carrying her name, but the project ceased after the proposed bottle design failed to meet her standards.
Despite online speculation, no reliable publication has identified the Champagne brand. There is currently no evidence supporting claims involving Dom Pérignon, Moët & Chandon, or any other specific house.
This distinction is important. This was reportedly not a simple advertising appearance; ROSÉ’s name would have become part of a physical product designed to remain on shelves and in collections long after the campaign concluded.
Taken together, these reports suggest that ROSÉ is meticulously evaluating both who receives her endorsement and how a collaboration is executed.
This level of control reflects the meticulous artist BLINKs watched build rosie. She transformed personal experiences into an album and a distinctly Korean drinking-game chant into the worldwide phenomenon “APT.”
The song’s success and Grammy recognition did more than increase her visibility. The Korea Herald argues that they provided ROSÉ with something very few K-pop artists possess: enough individual leverage to reject opportunities that would ordinarily be difficult to refuse.
This does not mean she has stopped working. The same report indicates that ROSÉ has been traveling between South Korea and the United States while developing new music, although no album or release date has been officially announced.
As of September 2, ROSÉ, The Black Label, CHAGEE, and the unidentified Champagne house have not publicly confirmed either negotiation.
The responsible conclusion is not that ROSÉ rejected two officially named brands for proven reasons. Instead, multiple reports describe an artist exercising unusually strict control over her name, image, and creative output.
If accurate, the biggest flex is not the $7.2 million she reportedly declined. It is reaching a position where ROSÉ—not the size of an offer—decides what her name is worth. 🌹🖤💗
