JENNIE Gives Netflix’s “Steps” Its Heart

JENNIE is bringing a new song to Cinderella’s world: Netflix has confirmed that she writes and performs “Someone to Hold” for its animated adventure Steps. The BLACKPINK star describes the project as her first song for an animated film, opening another chapter in her solo career. Rather than simply accompanying a fairy-tale romance, the track celebrates the sisterhood between Cinderella and her stepsisters, according to directors Alyce Tzue and John Ripa. A preview can already be heard in the newly released trailer, while the soundtrack also features Amanda Seyfried, Rose Gray and EMEI, alongside a score by Kris Bowers. Steps and its soundtrack arrive on November 20, 2026, with soundtrack pre-saves already available.
